Meryl Streep: Freedom of Speech

The Golden Globe Awards was the annual ceremony for actors and actresses all to come together from movies and TV series and be rewarded/recognized for their outstanding acting skills and performances they’ve put up. And one of the women that I have huge respect for is Meryl Streep, who’s known for her acting skills in The Devil’s Wear Prada and Mamma Mia, decided to take that chance to exercise her right of freedom of speech.

And what delighted me the most was the when President Obama did not say anything about how he felt with the president-elect, Meryl managed to take that burden out of his shoulders and developed a rather strong letter of her first amendment on exactly how she felt about Trump.

I think it’s great to have a voice known. And the first amendment is handled in a mature way of course. It’s about delivering a voice for everyone to hear and not in a violent way. She handled it very well of course and presented her argument clearly. And that’s why she’s not only a recognized amazing actress, but she’s only one of a kind.
